Taste berries to determine appropriate color and softness, then look for berries at the same level of maturity. Not all berries in a cluster ripen together. Pick the ripe berries and return for the others as they ripen.
Ripe berries will stay on the plant at high quality for about a week without deteriorating or dropping.
