Additional Information

Harvest Recommendations

If the garlic is growing in rich soil, it may be necessary to break over the tops to prevent too much top growth. Harvest garlic by pulling or digging when the tops turn brown and die down in summer. Store in a cool, dry place to prevent sprouting.

Storage and Preservation Methods

The traditional European way of drying onions is very effective and picturesque. Allow the bulbs of the garlic to dry in the sun for a few days, then braid the dried leaves together adding in another plant, at intervals, to form a braid studded with garlics.
