Parsnip seeds should be sown directly into the garden row, bed or container and thinned to 1 1/2" between plants as they mature. The seeds may be mixed with a small amount of sand before seeding to make thin seeding easier, or seeds can be disbursed by being shaken from a salt or pepper shaker.
