Effective Herbal Supplements Overcoming Drug Copmanies Ad Budget

No matter the situation, we as people tend to think short term instead of considering the long term affect of our actions. It is with this that most of us think nothing of ingesting a drug from a pharmaceutical company with no thought what so ever to what it might do to out bodies in the future. We do this because we have been taught by a daily avalanche of pharmaceutical drug company commercials, that they are what we should turn to first in our time of need. However while these drugs may cause damage to us in the long term, herbal supplements effectiveness and positive benefits can actually increase over time.

It would appear as if the majority of individuals in the world have been mislead into believing that drug companies have somehow surpassed nature simply by dreaming up some concoction of chemicals in a lab. It has been proven that many herbal supplements are more powerful over time and also have far less, if not none of the horrid side effects that traditional big pharmaceutical drug companies drugs have. The side effects that one can endure from a prescription drug range from everything from the irritable; itching, runny nose, constipation, to the much more serious stroke, heart attack, and even in some cases death.

This has begun to diminish in certain areas of the world, due to more and more people being educated as to the positive long term effects of herbal supplements. The minds of many have been slow to change however due to the years of prescription drug company ad saturation their brain has undergone. The notion that chemical compounds created in a lab have been engineered so well as to make them superior to natures herbs, is an idea that has been impressed upon billions of people. Through networking of the masses however we are beginning to see a revival of confidence in the power and long term positive effects of herbs in the form of herbal supplements.

To the users of herbal supplements, it is baffling as to why so many continue to purchase prescription drugs pharmaceutical empires. Many herbal supplement users first point of discussion is the massive amount of side effects and long term damage prescription drugs can cause. Their second point is always the much higher costs of prescription drugs when compared o that of their herbal supplement counterparts which treat identical physical conditions.

In past decades it was an uphill if not a no win battle for the supporters of herbal supplements to increase awareness of the benefits of natural remedies. The main obstruction to the masses becoming educated about herbal supplements was and still is the pharmaceutical companies. These companies have not only lobbyist to make it easier for them to distribute their products, no matter how damaging those products may be. They also have at their disposal billions of dollars to load into advertising campaigns designed to disarm individuals into believing that their drugs are for their own good and created in a lab with the best of intentions.

Over the past fifteen years or so the amount of new users of herbal supplements has begun to grow at a rocket like pace. This can be directly attributed to the fact that the supporters of herbal supplements have turned to the internet to spread their beliefs. The internet has been able to give the proponents of herbal supplements the ability to reach millions of people across the globe in a short amount of time. Many of these are people who were never privy to the overwhelming effectiveness of herbal supplements before they logged onto the internet.

The internet has brought about sever new lines of communication. Some of these forms are; message boards, article reading websites, chat rooms, etc. New arenas for communication are springing up all the time online. This of course leads to more people being able to gain important and timely information about herbal supplements and their man benefits. This comes as a welcome addition to most homes who are use to get a constant saturation of the airwaves with prescription drug advertisements.

This all brings us now to the question of if we are seeing a drastic change in public opinion, one drastic enough to possibly put an end to all misleading and untruthful prescription drug companies for good. Well, I wouldn't hold my breath. Though it is definitely safe to say that the internet has drastically reduced the stranglehold prescription drug makers have on the opinions of people across the globe when it comes to their healthcare. Most likely in the past even the most unrelenting supporters of herbal supplements would find it difficult to envision this time. With the constant and ever growing amount of new users each year of herbal supplements, it is becoming less and less difficult to imagine herbal supplements becoming the preferred method of individual healthcare across around the planet.
