The Sun is Shining Again!

Can you feel winter fading?  Does the sun feel a little bit warmer and the days a little bit longer?  (Thank you congress for an earlier daylight savings date).

Now that warmer weather is upon us, my mind has started to shift to outdoor activities like getting the winter wind junk cleaned out of my yard and getting the grass to start thinking green.  Additionally, I’m going to start conditioning my soil in the coming weeks to get ready for planting.  I’ll probably oxygenate the soil a bit by giving it a few good turns with a shovel and work out the hardened dirt clods with a rake.  I’ve also got some raspberry pruning to do before they start to grow as well.

Think spring!  Happy Gardening 2008.

You’re right, spring is upon us and it is time to get out the gardening tools. Happy gardening. Great web site by the way.
